MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas this year was held at the Hun house as it is every year and like every party gathering, theres always good conversation, FOOD, and loooots of gambling. I think this is how i would describe christmas day, eating, and then eating some more when someone arrives with more food, gambling(31's the new game!), SF4/Tekken, the adults watching khmai dvds, and, and just hanging out.Party lasted until midnight, here's some pictures:

Delicious noodle station!
Salawr Curry
Jesse's mom made enchiladas, not sure who
made the green beans and nellies mom baked cookies

Asian jello desert
Garlic bread, garlic smells sooo good
The appetizers consisting of bread/cracker with
some kinda of cheese and salami
Anderson was like daigo that day, he kept winning!

Lawrence and William holding presents
with nothing inside...we made present boxes for show
Gambling! Rocky there in the background, i remember
he was everywhere that day and every time he was taken
out he always found a way to get back in, he even came and
sat right in the middle while everyone was playing!

Happy Holidays! :)

thai food

I went with some friends yesterday to Thai Nakorn in Stanton on the corner of Brookhurst and Chapman. The food is a little pricey but it had some of the best tasting and authentic Thai food I've ever had. I also tried the new tom yum soup at Trieu Chau today and while it was good it pales in comparison to Thai Nakorn.

spicy clams
fried fish with mango salad
tom yum

Turkey Day 2009

Thanksgiving this year as per usual was at the Tep household and was epic in both scale and grandeur. It was a good day to be a glutton as there was no shortage of food.

I made the turkey again this year and the results were definitely better. The set up was not ideal as the roasting pan we bought was too large for the oven. The turkey was a robust bird at almost 24 lbs.
Woke up at 5 to get everything done before guests arrived.
I thought there was too much celery but it turned out okay.
Overcooked the bird again this year but it was still juicy.
Nellie's mom made cookies.
She also steamed some fish.
Tony's mom made the nasty green khmer soup.
Kenneth was gary to my ash and made rival mashed taters.
A lot of guava this year for some reason.
Think like a scholar. Eat like a BOSS.
Thanksgiving lunch.
Tony never changes his clothes.
Tekken 6.
Better than Morongo.
Hustle for da money.
