Kina Grannis!

Youtube superstar Kina Grannis played a show at a neighborhood park in Lake Forest today. This is pretty much the first time I'm listening to her and we got there just in time for the last song she played. I reallllllllllly like it. Check it out at the end of the posts. We also got to meet her and talk to her a little bit. She used to make coffee like me and hates Starbucks. SOOOOOO AMAZING!

So we had some surprise visitors from Texas this past week. It was mucho fun spending time with Suzane and Cindy but I don't want to see Trieu Chau or boba for a while. My brain is also frizzle frazzled from all this time spent in daylight. Here are some fotos from the bonfire.

Here is what the beach looks like at 9am. It was overcast and windy.
Tony and I tried to keep each other busy for seven hours. FML.
Then the adults crashed the party!
This was the hottest fire we've ever had. It died soon after.
Anthony was having a good time.
We found a wandering raccoon eating our food.

Tony was not impressed. Kenneth ate some Limon Lays.

Half Dome - Yosemite

I'm now getting more interested in the hiking scene and I've heard of this half dome in Yosemite that has a string and hikers can just climb on up. Man looks so dangerous but I am down for it!

We went to Long Beach for lunch at the New Paradise restaurant. Let's just say that Hak Heng is still Laik Mui!

Chanty Flat Rec Area in Arcadia

I went on a hiking trip today with my friends: Don, Vicki, Jun, and Richard. This was a 2 mile down and back up so a total of 4 miles hike. For being my first real hike I learned not to hike in jeans, bring plenty of water (my 2 bottles were barely enough) and the earlier the better cuz it was tiring coming uphill when the sun was up at 3pm. There were lots of butterflies, lizards, flying bugs, dog/horse shit but man the scenery was nice and at the end of the trail was quite rewarding. Check out the pics:

Bonfire @ Corona Del Mar

We had a last hang out for the visitors from Texas with bonfire @ CDM. Man this was my first time at the beach in 2 years and man it sure does feel nice to be out and about.

Transformers 2 + Jerking

So we caught the opening day of Transformers and it was just an OK movie in my opinion. I guess I'm gonna have to wait for Harry Potter to be my favorite movie of the summer then. Check out what I came across when parking my car...

So after the Triumvir sale we checked out this Thai Gulf in HB. I got word that the food was good, cheap, and best of all unlimited Thai Tea! I recommend trying out this place for anyone looking for a lot of food and only have to throw down like $10 for the dinner special.
