Some ppl on campus gave me a flyer advertising this place. Surprsingly they got coupons for good places. Like AMC, 99 Ranch and the Aloha Hawaiin BBQ place at the district which is pretty good food if I might add. A+ college text bookstore for your text book needs. yeah...a bunch of places in Irvine.

5 Days. 1800+ miles.

So for me, this was a hell of a crazy 4 day weekend. My friend John and I made plans to visit our friend Brian in Sacramento this weekend, and it was one hell of a trip.

Day 0: Wednesday night I drove to Escondido to get a haircut from my Uncle and eat dinner with him. Then got to my parents' house around 10ish. Traded cars with my dad since I don't think my truck would make it up there, and then I got some sleep...though that was interrupted around 2-3am because my friend asked me about Taylor Swift. -_-.

Day 1: The Drive. Woke up at 7am to pick up John, and headed to Long Beach to go to my Uncle's garage shop so he can check up the car to make sure it could make the trip. Ate some pho over there at Pho So 1. Review: mediocre, Garden Grove/Westminster Pho beats it easily, I'd rather go to Pho Lu. After that we headed up. I was driving the whole way and we were making good time, was probably going to make it to our capitol city around 4...but that was too early for Brian so we made a detour to San Leandro to visit Liz. I must say, it was freak'n hot up there. Chilled out at Liz's house, her mom made 'bun chow' or "asian pancake" as some people call it. Deliciousness. Her house was right by the Bay, so we walked her dog along it...tried to find some frogs but no luck. After that me and John went up to Sacramento...it was freezing there at night. Got some rest for the next couple days.

Day 2-3. Alot of stuff here, but I'm going to keep this one short. Basically it involves shopping, eating, site-seeing, random driving around. You know the typical tourist stuff. I'll let the pictures talk for themselves. Oh also visited my aunt...she can make some damn good shrimp. Note: I drove basically the whole time, and we visited San Jose, Milpitas, San Francisco, Oakland, and of course Sacramento. Also note: Oakland is "hella ghetto." Just saying.

Day 4: The Drive (Part 2) So this is where I got some more major mileage. Drove back from Sacramento with only one stop. Got back to my parent's around 7ish. Traded back cars with my dad and left around 8:30. I just got back to SD. Ran up to the bathroom because I REALLY NEEDED to go, then checked my voicemail. Turns out my dad left his wallet in my truck, and he needs it for work tomorrow. So I grab some coffee, drive back up to OC at around 10:30. Dropped off the wallet around 11:30, then drove back to SD right after. Probably drove around a good 8 hours that day, racking up the mileage on both my dad's 4runner and my truck about 1800+ miles. Now that was tiring.

The rundown of cities I drove to:
SD -> Escondido -> OC -> Long Beach -> San Leandro -> Sacramento -> Milpitas -> San Jose -> Sacramento -> Davis-> San Francisco -> Oakland -> Davis -> Sacramento -> OC -> SD -> OC -> SD.

Now onto a few pictures:

This was my first meal in Sacramento. Place was called Bud's Buffet. Wasn't really a buffet...but sandwich, drink, side. 8 dollars. That thing was filling and so very meaty. Ever up there and want to get full, that is the place to go.

Here we have our Capitol Building. Where our 'Governator' works. I really liked the architecture. Wish it was empty so I could of taken a frontal picture of it, but there were too many protesters in the way.

Right here we have protesters aka Obama-haters aka ignorant fearful *cough*cough*. Excuse me, I have to watch my language there. Saw the Obama-Joker signs. I really had to keep my mouth shut or else I would have been mauled.

We visited twin peaks in San Francisco. Very Nice. Like top of the world and Mount Soledad, but for San Francisco. It was alot colder and windier up here than those other places though. But the view was 'hella' nice. Definitely a place to visit. Didn't get a chance to go down the windy roads or see the glass elevator. Next time though.

Anyone recognize this place? Yup, it was at the ending of "Up." Didn't get a chance to sit on the corner and count red cars though.

The Banana Split Special. The thing was a monster. Brian ate most (more like almost all of it) by himself.

The ice cream we all got. It was a good way to end the night. Lines go out the door just for the ice cream...the food was just alright. If you're tired of Ghirardelli's square, this is a great alternative.

All in all, the trip was great. But all the driving has made me realize...California is getting a little too small for me. I have been to norcal 4 or so times now, and probably going to fly up there at one point to hang out with my Berkeley friend. I'm serious about visiting Texas soon, so Texas-cuzzos, you better watch out!

Mama's Hot Tamales Cafe

2124 W 7th St
Los Angeles, CA 90057

They got themselves a yelp sticker =]

I went to Mama's Hot Tamales Cafe in L.A. right across MacArthur Park for a fieldtrip with my Homework/Academic Center two days ago. We got to learn how they wrap them tamales up and they treated us to lunch(forgot to take pictures.. -___-).

They're known for their economic development of bringing people in so they can make/sell their food safely rather than wherever they did with their food carts and fighting against the drug and crime in the park across the street.

Their homemade juices are a very very tasty delight. I liked their Pollo Guatemala tamale and that Passion Fruit juice.
They are beginning to follow the Kogi truck with Korean/Mexican fusion and are experimenting with their tamales. (i.e. Kimchi Tamales. Heard they're good.)

Aha...coming back from Pasadena gets you tired... I'm sure Johnny/Steven/Donald/Stephanie would know why I'm awake if you picture who I'm sitting next to.

Nice Elizabeth. Told ya you were coming on here.

Dammit Danny XD

Japanese Seiyuu Part 2

Do you guys remember this girl? It's Yu Kobayashi. Some actresses were asked to make sketches of their homes this time around.

This is Aki Toyosaki(pictured under). Known from anime series K-On! in which she has the lead role. She also has a small singing career. The drawing of her home is nice and cute isn't it?

Well...here's Yu Kobayashi's home...

It seems like to me she's been through Resident Evil, Saw, and hell in that house.

Alien baby found in mexico, test results out!

2 years ago Mexico Tv announced that an alien baby had been found alive by a farmer. Its been 2 years and the test results have been released.
Scientists say the baby can stay underwater for a long time, has a big brain, lizard like skeleton, rootless teeth and it has some similar joints to humans.

Heres a brief summary: So 2 years ago in Mexico an alien baby was found by a farmer. He attempted to drown the creature out of fear. Last year, Marao Lopez, the farmer, handed the it to university scientists where they conducted tests on it. Lopez claims that it took him THREE attempts to drown it, he held it underwater for hours. This became a creature unknown to scientists, but it gets even more freaky, Lopez died later. According to an UFO expert, Lopez burned to death in a car at the side of the road. The fire was had a far higher tempature than usual too! Now there's rumors that it was the parents of the creature Lopez drowned had in turn killed him out of revenge. Other farmers also said there was a second one but it ran away.

Hahah sorry if it sounds like im story telling, but this stuff is fascniating and scary at the same time. Theres some pics of the alien in source below.

Funny youtube clips

Friends sent me a couple of really funny clips & I thought i'd share. Some of which you may have already seen. If your ever having a bad day and want to make it better with laughter, check this blog post out! Warning : some are a bit sad/messed up though, but funny at the same time.

Korean dude named Dong-won Kim. For more vids, search him up @ "rlaehddnjs" on youtube. Some people make fun of him cause of course its the internet and everybody get judged. Surprisingly there's a lot of supportive people saying as long as it made you smile & laugh, or even made your day, that's all that matters. I agree! There's nothing wrong with a male singing like his favorite female diva!!!

Famously known for his "Leave britney alone!" video, Internet-celebrity : Chris Crocker is still to this day making videos. Here's one of his older vids, and one of his funny ones too. Actually, all his videos are funny (and ridiculous, haha). I saw him once at a hollywood club. He was by the DJ booth, upstairs. Looks a lot skinnier in person. I bet he makes a lot of money from his ridiculous / controversial / funny videos, gaining millions & millions of views & fans (strangely). He has a web site up selling tshirts & bags.

Miss teen USA - South Carolina 2007. nuff' said.

Big girls need luv too

... Actually real news story? who knows. Looks authentic. LOL!

I got it: Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

I know what I'm doing for my last week of summer. Let the puzzle mayhem begin.

Banana Bay in Rowland Heights

Finally got the time to post this up. Last night I went to Banana Bay to eat dinner with the entire family. I'm mainly taking pics from other people cause we didn't take a camera with us and only had my cellphone to cope with. I've been here only once when I was a small kid so it was kinda nostalgic to come back after all these years.

Complimentary appetizer.

Shrimp Toast. Deep fried batter with shrimp meat inside served with a cucumber type of sauce. Tastes like the vegetables found in them Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches. These were delish. The picture I took was this one.

Pad See Ew, the thai version of Chinese Pan Fried Noodle with stir fried vegetables and beef. It was very good. It wasn't plain nor too salty. Cooked to near perfection(or atleast the best I've eaten.)

Pineapple Fried Rice. It doesn't exactly live up to its hype but I find a good taste when you have rice, pineapple, and a chinese sausage in a single bite.

Theres a lot I want to try from this restaurant besides what's pictured here and what we had(thai boat) [Yelp]

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box Puzzle Preview

Level 5 has released a preview puzzle to be featured in the second installment of the Professor Layton series.I was never able to picture 3d objects on a 2d plane but I got on my third try without hints. There are hints which you can use on three levels which slowly become less vague as you go through the three hints or maybe you only need a couple or best of all, none.

Retro: Magical Summer of 2006

The first family bonfire was great success!
I remember we almost ran out of wood. We always seem to have problems with maintaining wood.
We didn't have enough food though...but we had smores!
I remember this was the summer of Don Shirtless.
The Huns.
Tony is sad his pants don't match his shirt and drank.
First time at Laguna Beach. What a photogenic city!
Kevin's epic MySpace picture.
Tourists like the Chineses.
It was so hot! Milk was a bad choice.
Whenever I get ice cream I prefer two scoops!
Here is Bie eating Lee's sandwich for some reason. I bet she's glad she jumped aboard the In N' Out hype train.
We used to be so young and ugly.
I've yet to find boba that tasted as good as that night.
