The Mini Taco Post

Alright, so in the past couple of weeks I've had my share of tacos...none of which were BAD. but some you just can't compare.

First off are the tacos my sister raves about, the ones on Euclid and Chapman. I already forgot the place but i went ahead and bought myself two of these fish tacos.

Now in my opinion, these don't qualify as the best I've ever had. Maybe the hype my sister set up for it was a bit much. They were good, normal price...but in my opinion not the best. Taste-wise I'd prefer these than Albatross. Size-wise not as fulfilling. Maybe if i was passing by I'd grab one. Next time i should ask for guacamole and some sour cream...maybe those are the magic ingredients.

Next stop are some LA tacos gotten from the ole fashion taco truck...cept this one is permanently at this stop. Went here with my friend and tacos were basically a buck a piece

Now if I remember correctly, the one on the left was Lengue (tongue) and the other is Carne Asada (self explanatory). For a dollar a piece they are as you expect them, like snacks. I easily popped them in and finished it in probably 2-3 bites. They were pretty good, I'm always a fan of tongue. I don't know if they were as great as my friend raved about it, I'd need to go back to ole Santa Ana's Tacqueria and try the tongue tacos back there again. I have a feeling those might just be a bit better. But for a dollar a piece these were a nice snack.

Here's a pic of the taco truck/stand. and my friend posing for it.

That isnt the real address. But I just wanted to show you it is really a Taco stand/truck thing that is now forever there. That is some intense parallel parking between buildings!

Alright. For the last Taco review I don't have any pictures since I forgot my camera, but it is very much worth mentioning. Remember my post about the 1.50 lobster tacos at World Famous? Those happen Wednesday nights, Tuesday nights are all about 1 dollar shrimp tacos. And damn I filled my stomach with them. Ate 7 of them in a row and wish I had a beer along with it. Taste-wise it was pretty good/alright considering I've never eaten any other shrimp taco before. But these were also pretty good sized, filled with enough shrimp and packed with lettuce, cheese, onions...you know the usual taco supplements. What really gets at you is the cheap price of them, a dollar a piece and on tuesday nights you know everyone is just there for these tacos. It was delicious. If you are down in SD on a tuesday night, then go to World Famous. If you're down on a wednesday night, then go to World Famous. It is becoming my favorite place for cheap taco nights.
